Wiley Edwards

Wiley Edwards

Comedian, Actor, Wiley Edwards is a native of Houston, Texas. He attended Anderson Elementary and Fondren Middle School. It was at Fondren where most of his silliness began.

Wiley was always the outspoken, popular kid, who loved to have fun. He attended Westbury High School in Houston. As a sophomore and junior, he participated in Junior Varsity Basketball, Auto Mechanics and Dance. Even then, Wiley was an all-around entertainer. He performed in school plays, shows, pep rallies and participated in athletics—all, while maintaining a more than respectable grade point average.

In his senior year, Wiley was voted” Best Dancer”, “Mr. Westbury” and “The Funniest Classmate”. After high school, he attended Texas Southern University for two and half years; where he studied business management.

Subsequently, he started his own company and went into the Tow Truck Business. As faith would have it, there was an Open Mic night at Sherlocks (a local bar) in Houston Texas. Wiley decided to try his hand at comedy. The crowd went wild. He secretly began doing standup on different nights at the Improv and small local clubs. He was the guy everyone loved.

All was going well when, one night, while towing an illegally parked car, Wiley was shot at multiple times. The entire incident was caught on tape and featured on TruTV’s “Most Daring”, reality show. He was not struck, but that incident led to a pivotal life decision. Wiley moved to Los Angeles, California.

Wiley’s career has taken off. As a result of his weekly performances in local comedy clubs throughout Los Angeles, he was asked to be the Wednesday night Host of famed comedian J. Anthony Brown’s the “J Spot” comedy club in Los Angeles.

Throughout his brief career, one of his most rewarding accomplishments was landing his first major role as a drug dealer in the motion picture “Muse”. He has appeared on networks such as CBS, TV ONE, BET, and NBC. Wiley has made guest appearances in the TV shows, Kevin Harts, “Real Husband of Hollywood”, and Belle’s. His film credits include Kevin Harts “Let Me Explain”, and “Muse”.
