Melanie Thompson

Melanie is an actor, writer and model.  She is currently represented by Mademoiselle Talent Agency.  Melanie considers herself to be, first and foremost, a storyteller. As?a child she wrote original stories, crafted her own books, and kept a journal regularly. Both her parents and teachers recognized her talents early; she was deemed gifted and talented at age seven, which led to her inclusion in magnet programs specialized for humanities and the arts in middle and high school. Over time, her love of creative writing spawned an interest in other forms of storytelling — most notably, of course, through acting.

It was a big leap. Melanie longed to reach an audience through the powerful mediums of theatre, motion pictures and television, but had no significant experience to speak of. But drive, persistence and a?thirst to learn are powerful things — and attributes Melanie has in?spades. She was accepted into Emerson College’s highly competitive?Bachelor of Fine Arts Acting program in 2005, despite a lack of any?prior formal training. Four years of hard work later, she graduated?cum laude from the program.

A proud Washington, DC native, Melanie now lives and works in Los?Angeles and is making strides as an actor, writer and model. Melanie is always?looking to tell a good story with passionate, optimistic and skilled?artists who share the mentality she lives by: Through determination,?hard work and an open mind, anything — and everything — is possible.
